For almost a year, I had been looking forward to the 2019 Hoosier Classic. I believed that the second running of this million-dollar classic race was set to unfold as another enormous success, and I wanted to be there on-site to see the first drop and shake the hand of the winner or possibly winners of the $500,000.00 US first prize. But that was not to be after the devastating, heart-wrenching Hoosier Classic Fire of 2019.
